Super Bee Speedway
Joey and Erin Brown Purchase Chatham Speedway
Joey and Erin Brown have purchased Chatham Speedway from Jerry Hobson.
Saturday, July 24 marked the end to a legacy led by Jerry and Cathy Hobson at Chatham. From the time he purchased Chatham he improved it and worked nonstop to put on the biggest shows in Louisiana. Jerry will go down as one of the best in Louisiana after 35 years.
With new owners comes new things! Super Bee Speedway is back. That’s right the original name is back.
Brandon Hightower, who worked closely with Jerry for the last two years, will be the promoter of Super Bee Speedway.
“I really look forward to working with our great crew at Super Bee. I can’t thank Joey and Erin for allowing me to run the show for them,” Hightower said.
For Joey Brown the opportunity to own Super Bee Speedway is one that he doesn’t take lightly.
“I’m excited as ever to get going at Super Bee with everyone. We look forward to meeting new and existing, fans and drivers. We can’t thank everyone enough for the support and look forward to putting on great shows,” he shared.
August 7 will be the first show at Super Bee Speedway. The night will be headlined by $1,000-to-win for Crate Late Models! All weekly divisions will be in action as well.
The $50,000 to win “Super Bee 100” scheduled for September 16-18 will go on as scheduled. August 21 will be a $2,000-to-win Crate Late Model event to give the guys hunting for that $50,000 prize in September a chance to improve their cars! We are close to 100 crate late models that have paid now.
More schedule information along with information on the “Super Bee 100” will be released soon.
